Lethargic

I have an 8-year old grey tabby. I live in NY where its been extremely humid for the past few weeks. I notice that he's a bit lazy (well, lazier than usual) during high humidity, and spends a fairly large amount of time resting under my bed.
I' m concerned whether arthritris can be an issue? He is 8, which is somewhat middle aged for cats, I believe.
Thanks.

Cats will be less active when it's hot and humid. After all, they're wearing sweaters!! Unless there's something else you notice, I don't think you need to worry.

I agree. I think he is just making himself comfortable as possible. I bet you'll notice him being more active as soon as it cools down some. If not then I would check out other causes. I noticed a different in my cat's joints at age 13. After taking a supplement recommended by our vet - she is back to normal.
