Siezures

My 18 yr old cat is having what I can only call a "siezure". He went to the vet 6 months ago and they couldnt see what it was. Said his heart is abit fast..and I thought ..yeah my heart would be fast too if I was at a vets if I was my cat. Anyway, he usually does two really weird meows..then begins to lose his strength in his legs..wobbles abit and then lies down,,then he drops his head down some times..at this point he is panting. This whole scenario lasts no more than 5 minutes, then he is back up on his feet and wolfing down what ever there is in his bowl. His water intake has increased somewhat..cause I thought maybe diabetes? Has anyone evber heard of these symptoms or care to guess? the Vet said the tests came back negative for epilepsy. They are increasing in frequency and had two in two days..that I saw.

Getting a second opinion should be considered, sounds like your Vet may know what he's doing, but then again another Vet may be helpful.

You could also do a search on this forum, I think the topic has come up before.

Good luck, I'm glad for you he does get back to being normal.
