Kitten eating Adult Biscuits

I wonder if anyone will be able to offer me any advice.

Our new kitten "baby" refuses to eat her own kitten biscuits and insists upon eating out adult cats "Mia" biscuits.

We have tried all available brands of kitten dry food but she will not eat them.

Also, she has stopped eating her canned kitten food.

We just wanted to know if its safe for Baby to eat Mia's food.

Thanks Looking forward toyour help.

Normally kitten food just has more protein and fat for their ever growing and energetic body. I don't see too much of a problem for a kitten eating adult food. Although it would probably be ideal if it ate kitten food, but you can't really force them. Its up to you. I have heard a lot of people say that there finicky cat won't eat anything but Merrick can food, you might want to check it out. For dry you might want to try Innova, Wellness, or Nutro max cat. The first two are healthier than the last but nutro is still not bad, I used to work for a shelter and found that not many cats resisted Nutro. Good luck.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your advice, however I am living in Turkey and dont have much of a selection in terms of kitten food. We brought some Iams from the vet yesterday, which she only eats after you throw the biscuits one-by-one accross the room. (she makes a game out of everything).

Thanks Again

We dont have too many brands. From the Vet you can buy:

Vets Choice
Science Diet

And from Supermarkets you can buy:

Whiskas - which our cats wont even look at
La Cat

Not much chice I know, Its actually upsetting as when we are looking to buy kitten food, sometimes all the stores run out. We now order in very large quantities so we always have stock available.
