Lily is sick - diahrrea, not eating, lethargic. - *update*

Sean and I were gone for the weekend and got home sunday night. We had my sis come and feed them twice a day. Well when I got home and went upstairs there were 3 piles of loose stools in different spots. I suspected it was Lily because normally she would be howling to be fed when I got home. Instead she was just sitting in one spot and didn't seem interested in food at all which is really weird for her. So I tried making some phone calls to get her into the vet for tuesday. My vet only does surgery on tuesdays and my old vet gave me attitude. So I got home last night. Lily was still just sitting around not wanting to eat. I followed her to the bathroom and she went and her stool was almost kind of jelly like and was pink.

So I freaked and took her to the emergency vet. He thought it may be stress from us leaving. I am pretty sure we have left them before but I know last time we had someone stay the whole weekend. He thought it could be the weaning to Innova Evo or it could be something more serious. She had lost 3/4 of a pound which kind of worried him but he said it could be the diet switch.

So basically he gave me some medicine for colitis and gave her sub q fluids. HE said keep an eye on her and if she doesn't improve in a couple of days to take her to my vet.

Well we get home last night and she finally ate some food. The weird thing is though when he was checking her he said her bladder felt kinda full and then they gave her fluids and it is tuesday morning and she still hasn't urinated. Should I be worried about that? She went poopy this morning and it was loose but no longer pink. She is still just laying around and not wanting to eat again. Her temp was only 1/2 a degree above normal. I am so confused as to what I should do.

Just to add she is indoor only, spayed, and up to date on shots.

I would not be convinced by that explanation personally. You know your cat better than anyone else, if you are in any doubt insist they take another look and explore all options before dismissing it as a reaction to diet change. Good luck and I hope she gets better soon!

Lily went to the vet yesterday and stayed the night. I will be hearing from the vet around 10:00am. this morning. They are waiting on some bloodwork results. I hope she is going to be ok. I miss her so much already.
