Bad Cut *UPDATE*

I picked Neko up earlier and she started whining loudly, so I set her down.
But now I went to get some Shmuki Love (my corny name for petting and pampering Neko ) And I notice bad cuts on her side, which are really painful for her. Don't know what to do, don't think its worth a vet call, and I am slightly expeirenced with cuts. I usually just put some anti infection junk, and let it heal. but this cut is much bigger than the ones she usually gets. Any ideas, I don't mind goin to the vet, its not a money issue, but I don't think its worth the hassle.

Can you determine whether she needs stitches or not?

Does she get into areas' where it can get infected?

Can she get a bigger wound from a playmate wrestling with her?

I don't think she needs stiches

She plays outside and it might get infected

I don't think she wrestles all that much with other cats

She is very mean when it comes to looking at the wound, i think it is more than the cut we can see, it may also be an internal wound, like a bruise or somethin

Well, everything you've said so far points to a vet visit. And as you said, you don't mind going and money isn't an issue, so if your cat is in pain, why are you letting the hassle of it holding you back?

I agree with Tim. If you are even debating it and money isn't an issue you should just bring her in. It will put you and Neko at ease.

Thanks a lot, for the advice.
Neko feels A LOT better, her appetite is back the wound is definatley closed and doesn't need stiches.
Either way its saturday, and all the vets are closed. So i'll see how she feels tomorow

I'm glad she seems better, but better play it safe and get her checked when the vet opens on Monday. There could be more going on than you can see with an untrained eye.

Of course!! I knew that your weekends are Fri/Sat because of the Sabbath. I spaced out momentarily and forgot you are in Israel! That's an especially silly goof, because my family is Jewish.
