Going to visit Sam the cat

Remember last spring I had 3 kittens on my front porch?... Then I took them inside and kept 2 of them and found a home for the 3rd kitty?

Well, Ive been emailing back & forth with the owner of Sam the cat. She wants me to come up and visit sam at his country home. So we have plans to see him next month.

I am very excited to see how sam is and how he is enjoying his new home. According to the owner...sam has grown to be 10 pounds. he was a little boy when he left for his new home last October.

I miss my little sam kitty so much. I hope he remembers me when I see him next month.

That's so precious! Hopefully you will be able to take a couple pictures?? I love it when people are kind enough to keep you updated, especially when they allow you to visit. Can't wait to hear how the visit went

If there are any life lessons to learn from a cat, it's to sleep when you feel like it, eat until you're full, play until you fall over, clean yourself regularly especially in public, and never, EVER, come when you're called.

Aww that is so sweet! I love when the new owners keep in touch. My breeder absolutely loved when I sent her updates on how Ellie was doing. I know if I ever fostered or adopted an animal out, I would be the clingy person who would require updates! Haha. It would be heartbreaking to let them go and never know what happened.

I am very excited to see Sam. I am pretty sure I can take pictures of him. But I will ask the owner to be on the safe side. She might take pics of me with sam.. haha

I love getting updates from her. she lives in nyc and has a country home upstate. So sam has two great places to live! sam also has a playmate a female kitty named june. so I will get to meet her as well.

That's cool that you emailed your breeder about Ellie. what kind of cat is she?

In 2008 when I bought my paint horse...the owner gave me her email so we can keep in touch. Then a few years later,we were on facebook.

So I keep her updated on her horse on FB messages.

Ellie (and Tootsie) are both doll-faced Persians! They both are from the same breeder. They have the same dad but different moms and are a little over a year apart. I haven't updated the breeder on Tootsie yet (this reminds me I need to! haha) but she LOVED the updates on Ellie so much. She was also really happy to hear that Tootsie and Ellie got along so well. I just think it's great to keep in touch, whether it's from foster parents, breeders, etc

How exciting! Looking forward to seeing some pictures. Sam's owner sounds like a great pet parent. He is a lucky kitten. Have fun!
