Trick of the camera

Camera tricks? Optical illusion? Lousy photography?

I posted my picture of Mischief Mistoffolees sitting on the DVD box for windows Vista (got the freebie upgrade for buying a computer last fall) on a Linux/Unix user group.

Several people pointed out that it looks as though Mischief is causing the box to levitate, to float above the surface of the desk. And if you let yourself see it, it does seem that way.

What do you all think?

Well, in "Cats", Mr. Mistoffolees was "the original conjuring cat!"

Maybe my boy has talents?

Hmm... I'm trying, but I can't see it, since it looks like its straight on the table.

I took it, resized it, cropped it and posted it without seeing it. It had to be pointed out to me. Here's a hint. If you look under the hutch, you'll see that his tail is laying flat behind the box. That ruins the illusion

He's definitely levitating! NASA would probably be interested in interviewing Mischief.
