He looks spunky, so he needs a name with some gusto behind it. How about Hercules, or Thor, or something like that?

What an awesome little kitty you have there, and congratulations on adopting your animal! May I suggest the name Bellona?

BELLONA (Bell-Oh'-Nah; Female. ): Here's a name for an aggressive cat. Bellona, the goddess of war, seems to be a Roman invention. When a gladiator managed to outlive his many opponents, he was often asked to serve as one of Bellona's priests within her temple. This temple was sometimes used as a tool of psychological intimidation toward foreign diplomats since it was the place where the Roman senate would arrange to meet with them. It didn't always work, but when you consider that the Roman Empire ruled the civilized world for over 500 years, it seems to have worked well enough.

Cheers!

That is a GREAT name! Do you have an idea for a male cat with that kind of meaning??

Thank you!

Of course! Why not try Apophis?

APOPHIS (ah-PAH-fiss; Male): One mean and nasty god, and another name appropriate for an orange cat, although in this case temperament should be the primary consideration. Apophis was portrayed as a giant snake and was the sworn enemy of the sun, the perpetual foe of RA. Every night, Apophis would wage warfare upon the sun, causing a period of darkness across the earth. Fortunately, he was always defeated, and each morning sunlight returned in all its glory. If your cat has a sulking, sneaky, at times downright wicked personality, Apophis might be just the name to give him.

Cheers!

Freyr - God of the masculine virility (this is a Norse god)

Loki - Trickster and god of mischief, strife and fire. (This is a greek god).

I love to name my animals with human type names, I could look up strong names for you if you would like.
