Casper and Callie

Hi to all,

It's been a while since I posted any photos of my cat. Well, eversince then, Casper (who's story can be found here) has got a new friend. We recently adopted a ginger tabby kitten, named Callie, to keep Casper company.

Callie was a 7 month old stray found by a friend and after getting her checked by the vet, she was brought home and given a room to herself. The kitties were introduced gradually over a period of time in a very controlled environment so as to minimise any hostilities or negative feelings. Took about a month before she is allowed access to the whole house unsupervised. Was the introduction a success? See the photos and decide for yourself.

Was it successful?

Halt!!! Who goes there?

Ok, you sleep and I keep watch....

Check out my coat.....nice.....

I'm that trusting.

Come on.....I know you want to stroke me.

Practising my ancient art of destruction.......

That's all for the time being. Hope you had a good time looking at the kitties photos.

From,

Re: Casper and Callie

Thanks for all the comments and compliments.

Yes, Callie is definitely a cat with character. In fact, both the kitties character are totally opposite of one another. Also, things have been different with Casper eversince Callie arrived. He kind of has a new zest for life..........

Something is so cute and precious about the faces of sleeping white kitties.

Oh, and Callie's coat and pattern is so rich and lovely!

Is that a super badass missing chunk of ear on the left ear there?

Yep, Casper got part of his left ear clip by the vet because when he was a stray, he was fixed by the local cat welfare society folks, and to ensure that he is not rounded up when the authorities comes around, he can be identified as a fixed stray by his clipped left ear. Given a choice I would not have his ear clipped, but I adopted him after the procedure...........
