Samson & Meeka
I've recently joined & thought I'd introduce myself & my kitties.. We're from Sydney, Australia.
Samson is my big, adorable ginger boy (he's currently sitting on my lap making typing a little hard). He's 3 & abit years old and has been with me since 8 weeks. He was one of two kittens of a stray cat that a lady I knew was feeding. We found them under a tree at about 2 days old & she took them in & set up a room for them. She said I could take a kitten if I wanted to & over the next few weeks I visited regularly. I was originally going to take Sam's sister but as the kittens grew a little older, Sam's personality won me over. I'm so glad I changed my mind & took him in because I couldn't ask for a more amazing cat. (She kept the Mum & sister, had them de-sexed & microchipped etc)
We went through a health scare last year and I was devastated at the thought of losing him. He came through & recovered well, although he's had a sensitive stomach since.
Meeka is my new little kitten (approx 15 weeks now). I adopted her from the pound just two weeks ago today. She's such an affectionate little thing and barely makes a sound (apart from her engine sounding purrs!). She was outgoing from the day I brought her home, and hasn't been scared of anything yet.. It didn't take long before she was Sam's little shadow - as you can see in my signature, they get on really well & she'll often copy what he's doing! Although she enjoys cuddling & playing with Sam, she's definitely a people cat, she'll take attention from anyone (including my 1.5 year old nephew) and you can hear her purring as soon as she spots you.
Both my kitties are indoors only, with the occasional playtime outside on harnesses & leads. I wouldn't swap either of them for anything in the world.
