The Many Moods of Misty

(Disclaimer: Many of these photos have been posted before at various times.)

I had a hard time choosing a photo for the "expressive cats" contest. Most of the photos I considered were actually of Misty (including Annoyed Misty, Outraged Misty, and Bewildered Misty, below) so I feel sort of bad the the one picture of Stormy I considered is the one I finally went with. I mean, cat in a Santa suit, how could I not, but still.

So, without further ado, I present... the many moods of Misty!

Curious Misty:

Explorer Misty:

Affectionate Misty:

Hungry Misty:

Frightened Misty:

Tired Misty:

Interested Misty:

Overheated Misty:

Annoyed Misty:

Outraged Misty:

Bewildered Misty:

Innocent Misty:

Seriously P-Oed Misty:

I really liked Annoyed, though Outraged was also a good one. In Overheated, our kitties have that same feather toy. Pretty especially likes it and it is always a popular one with the fosters.

Re: The Many Moods of Misty

You should write a children's book staring the many moods of Misty. She looks an awful lot like my Gracie.

Re: The Many Moods of Misty

Misty thanks you for your kind compliments. She is beautiful and fluffy and she knows it. She does sometimes permit cuddling and tummy rubs (too much tummy rubbing leads to biting, though).

Misty is a little under 3 and a half at the moment, but the pictures were taken at various times. In particular, the "Overheated Misty" was taken the summer I got her, when she was about 8 months old. Comparing "Overheated Misty" with "Tired Misty" (taken last summer) really shows how much she floofed out between teenagerhood and adulthood. The volunteer who adopted them out to me was a vet tech at their vet in NC and she was amazed how fluffy Misty had turned out to be. Both cats got bigger, but only Misty got fluffier.
