New Member, New Cat

Hello everyone. My name is Pyxie (not my real name). I am in my early twenties and work in retail. I have recently moved home with my husband to a rented property and ended up having a cat thrown into the deal, too.

Allow me to introduce you to Sully. He is a 3-year-old Tabby male. He is my first cat. I adopted him from our Landlord who had to leave the country for a few years (hence them leaving the house and us renting it). When arranging to rent the place from them, I offered to take Sully on since I was planning to give a cat a home anyway.

He is a joy to be around. He is so playful and loves attention. He especially likes to sit on the window ledge and watch birds, while making a "chattering" noise.

I did wonder how he got the name Sully. I later found out that in the film Monsters Inc (I haven't seen it yet), the big monster is called Sully and the little girl is called Boo (Sully's companion was named that, but was adopted to somebody else). Apparently in the film Boo calls Sully "kitty". I am guessing this is how he got his name, it clicks.

Glad to be here, hope to get lots of tips and be able to chat with like-minded cat lovers!

Awww...Sully's lovely

It's great that you took him on when you moved into the house - it must have saved alot of anguish for both his former owner and for Sully Will you get to keep him when you landlord comes back to the UK?

Awww, Sully is a very handsome kitty. What a great thing for him, that he didn't have to leave his home.

No, he is ours now. His owner is not coming back for fair few years.

Thanks for all the welcomes, everyone!
