Does this look like a snowshoe Siamese?

This is the kitten being held for me, he will be ready in about two weeks or so. I was told he is a snowshoe and I know it takes awhile for the markings to 'mature', however, being new to cats I just wanted a second opinion.

He does look like a snowshoe. Have you read the sticky on finding a good breeder? Just want to make sure you are getting a healthy little guy and are not supporting someone who is breeding without good reason (because we have LOTS of cats out there already so average Joe with nice pet cats does not need to be breeding) : viewtopic.php?f=4&t=16115

These two guys are also in your state if you are interested (not sure if they are near you):

Re: Does this look like a snowshoe Siamese?

Thanks for the reply! I have read the sticky and so far Joan checks out. She only breeds Siamese and Snowshoes, has been breeding for 15 years, and came recommended by the breeder of China whose parents are show cats so I feel pretty confident in her. She is not letting him go for quite awhile yet and I am paying a decent amnt for him. She also does state that she will take back any kitten for any reasons and refund monies if the kitten is sickly or develops a genetic disorder.

Those two kittens are pretty close to me, however, I am really looking for a male at this point as we already have a female.

Glad to have a second opinion that he is for sure a Snowshoe, not that I thought she would lie to me but I am still naive when it comes to cats!

Re: Does this look like a snowshoe Siamese?

It's good to hear that you believe you've found a good breeder, I personally find it so much harder to do, finding cat breeders as compared to finding dog breeders. You generally don't have much in the way of genetic problems in cats that need to be tested for like you do with dogs and cats were not bred to do any sort of work so those are two less things you can look for in a cat breeder.

I totally understand wanting a male, females are more picky about house mates than males are (usually) and do do best with males. Males normally get along with any gender, I personally prefer males but I've never actually owned a girl myself. I can't wait until he comes home! Any ideas on a name?
