new Crazy Cat Lady

Good morning! I was googling information about cat symptoms and stumbled across this forum. I'm happy to join a group of like-minded cat lovers! I have 3 cats: Goldman and Cookie are brothers, born Feb 09, and Mortimer, who is about a year old. I picked him up at a friend's house and refused to put him back down! I just got 2 more babies last night- no names as yet.

Hi kreimhilde, I'm new here too but welcome to the forum just the same. Your cats are special, esp Cookie, I hope he adjusts well. I love dogs but I don't like to see that. I'm sure you've been through alot saving him & God bless you for that, it tells me you're special too.

Re: new Crazy Cat Lady

Thank you all!
Cookie has adjusted remarkably well to the amputation. He is the best hunter in the group and takes down rabbits his size (much to my dismay). He climbs trees and even ladders. I have to scratch his right side for him and when I do his little stump just twitches away!

The reason I was googling symptoms yesterday is because his brother Goldman(Goldie) is very sick. Tested negative for HIV and leukemia and his liver and kidneys are still functioning. He's extremely anemic and we are waiting to hear if he'll need a transfusion this morning. The vet suspects he got in to some poison. In addition to my feline babies I have a 3 yo at home so I know he didn't get poisoned at my house but he's an outdoor kitty so there's no telling what he got into.

I tell ya, the vet office should name a wing after me! But my boys are worth it- they give me so much joy.

Clover does the same thing when I am scratching her face or side! She also had a back leg amputated but I do not know why/when.

I hope that Goldie is okay
