A week ago I was able to rescue an 8 week old kitten from out in the wilderness of my boyfriend's backyard. We had been watching these kittens grow up from birth and decided it was finally time to start gaining their trust. About a month ago we started feeding them everyday, along with them mom, and the mom trusted us instantly. I was able to catch the runt of the litter, a small dark gray and white kitten with black markings. One is all orange, and the other is white orange and gray, but these two are both fluffy. The black one isnt, which makes me think he takes after the dad. We think we were able to find a home for the others as well. It took me 3 hours on a screened in patio to get him to finally trust me enough to let me hold him comfortably.
Currently, Jade, my rescue, lives in my bathroom so he doesn't get lost in the house. I take him out every day and sit with him and play and carry him around the house. He's growing so fast and his eyesight is developing wonderfully. He loves to climb up my leg when I'm getting ready in the morning, stick his nose in my nostrils, bite my hair, and he really knows how to use those claws! He's also using the litter box all on his own, in less than a week! He's starting to eat hard food and is getting so rambunctious. I love it. Right now I'm looking for a playpen with a top so he can run around without me having to constantly hold him.
