Jolly& Holly are brother and sister ( long story behind how we got them)

Alfie& Thumper are brothers who are about 2 yrs old. Thumper is part manx.

Edit: Two I havent put up yet but I will later Kiwi and Stevie<-- She was a stray cat I found about 4 years ago that recently died from Feline Leukemia she was only 4 years old. I still consider her part of my babies though no matter if she is gone =/

What a beautiful cat family you have. Zoe and Chloe do not look 11 years old! I hope you post how you got Jolly and Holly. I love to hear how people hooked up with their cats!

I teared up when you said you still felt like Stevie was still a part of your kitty family. Having recently lost my beloved Tess I feel the same way. When Im feeding everyone I forget the count is down by 1 and put out a dish for her and then remember. Even if they have passed they are still a big part of our hearts and always will be. Sorry for your loss.

Holly & Jolly's story: My mother and I were volunteering at an animal fair. A woman came up to us with a box that had two little adorable 3-4 week old tabby kittens. She found them at her apartments and couldn't keep them. The Humane Society in my area didn't have a foster for them so we took them home. We got them all ready to go to the shelter, in the shelter's clinic they of course always do the Fel Leukemia and FIV testing, their tests came up with a very very light dot and if we didn't take them back with us they were going to euthanize them.. Of course that wasn't going to happen. We took them to the vet, got them fixed there and also had them tested again. The vet thought it was unusual that the dot from the test was so light so he had it sent to Texas A&M University and it turned out they didn't have Fel Leukemia. We saw it as a sign that they were meant to be ours. Now here they are all grown up!

Jolly is the most laidback cat I have ever seen. He lets me do anything to him: clip his nails and even hold him like a baby! He is such a lady's man with our other cats. However the girls usually beat him up and he keeps comin back LOL.

Holly is a really nervous girl, the lady we got her from say she was like that as a kitten as well. We just recently took her to the vet and he put her on prozac because she's having a bit of a peeing EVERYWHERE situation. She doesn't have a UTI and we are sure we got rid of any urine smells but we could have missed somewhere. She is doing a little better than before though.

Zoe had a bit of problems a couple of months ago. She was having lots of problems with her teeth. Her gums were getting really infected. We kept taking her back to the vet time after time and eventually he told us she'd benefit from having teeth removed. The dental work in total ended costing about 500 dollars! But it helped A LOT. She's already a small cat and she was losing weight because of her mouth. Before the surgery she was about 5lbs now she's about 7 lbs.

Stevie was a tough one, any loss is but hers hit me the worst out of any cats I lost. She was a stray cat that was around my neighbor, it was the typical story of her finding me. i was sitting on the curb and she came out of NO WHERE and jumped in my lap. She started out as an inside/outside cat but gradually became an inside. She stayed in my room, didn't want to get anywhere else. She went downhill in a matter of 8 days. When I first found out it was feline leukemia I was doing all kinds of research, hoping it was in the first stage so I could still help. It was already in the 2nd stage so all I could do was make her comfortable. It's been a year on Aug. 14th I got her cremated. The people were extremely kind, I even got a note from the lady who cremated her. I went to a pet memorial that a group in my area held and I spoke about her. I didn't even get 3 words out before I started blubbering.

(That's her urn)

Very sweet story of Stevie. He had a year of devotion and love from you. And you were able to not let him suffer but give him the gift of sending him on with love and compassion. From your pictures you could see he was a gentle little guy! He will be waiting for you on the other side. So sorry it had to happen this way.

Is the kitty angel one that you can put ashes in or a memorial statue? Very lovely.
Cyber hugs to both of you (((( )))))
