smokey still has his skills

let smokey out of his kennel (IE the cat palace) he had his morning meal an hour earlier, but within three minutes the birds were screaming alarms calls and smokey was off across the yard with one in his mouth, I got the bird from him(no hope for it) he looked mad that I took his prize, put him back in his kennel for a few hours,,, old habits die hard, he lived this way for his first year until we trapped him,,(the resident birds do annoy him just out of reach of him in the kennel almost everymorning)

Smokey is stunning. Does he like staying in his kennel?

smokey was a feral that found our yard and bird feeders, after we trapped him and had him fixed he calmed down.. in about two months we could let him out and be a yard cat while we out with him.. we don't know about his wild time but once its starts getting dark he herds us to the kennel so he is locked in for the night.. while he's out he won't go back in with the door open, worried about getting trapped inside by something bigger and meaner than him..(he was the only feral that wasn't under weight, the piles of morning dove feathers we found had alot to do with that.)
