Bonnie shuns the cat bed (and others)

So I have this cat bed, and all the cats think it's very suspicious and refuse to lay in it. Bonnie likes to lay in one spot on the back of the couch every night, so I thought if I put the bed somewhere she already liked to lay, she'd try it. Nope.

And this is my goofy cat-dog Muffin, no idea why she would want to lay in the dog crate, the bottom isn't even in it??

And just because...

If there's one lesson about cats, it's that you can give them a plush, great cat bed and there's no guarantee whatsoever they wouldn't rather sleep on the back of the couch. (Murphy does that too.) That's why it doesn't make much sense to spend a lot of money on cat beds. I did bring home a large box lid from work that Murphy currently loves.

Having said that, I think it's worth leaving it around. They're streaky . . . this month it's one bed, next month it'll be another.

I've bought many things for them over the years and the only one worth the money was the cat tree. I've had that bed a while and I keep moving it around, so far every location is a no go.

Do you live in a place that has a store called Ross? They have a small pet section where you can get great cat beds for about $10. But like you said, only the cat tree is a surefire thing.

try curling the sides down, to make them not as tall, they might not like blocked field of vision. most of the cat beds that our crew uses have low sides, my wife once bought a plush little house style bed, instead of going inside it jolene climbed on top and flattened it out to shallow bowl shape, has used it that way since..

Such cute kitties! Love the first pic where it looks like Bonnie's going to ooze right off the back of the couch.

Is it chilly where you live? My girls shun the cat beds until it starts to get cold. Then there's a fight over who gets which bed. The one the other cat is in is always the best one.

Zoey looks like she's been a great addition to your fur family. Is everyone getting along okay?

Cute kitties! The one thing I can guarantee will never get used by my cats is their cat bed. They have never shown any interest in it, so it now serves as a storage box for all their little toys and balls.
