The man cave extraordinaire!

So I figured I'd better buy a hooded cuddle bed for my 23 pound Jack too, but I can't find one that I want in dog size that doesn't cost an arm and a paw. I was in the garage thinking I'll just use a cardboard box to put his bed in, when I came across a yard chair pad that I never use anymore! Voila! Instant king size cuddle bed! I covered it with 2 more blankets to keep it all in place and add extra insulation, put the seed starting warming pad underneath and I have a king sized man cave for my King Jack! He won't go outside right now because the wind is howling but when he does he's in for nice big surprise!! Paws crossed he likes it - he has a natural aversion to anything that remotely looks like a carrier. The best part?... I didn't spend a dime!!

Looks fantastic!! I'm sure Jack will LOVE it!!

I used the carrier as an indoor tent/cave lol
I've prettied up a box and padded up the bottom for sleep.
I've had three cat beds donated to me from kitties that didn't use them.
... they ALL get used and used and used. They seem to have a rotation system worked out between them. lol

I've only ever bought one cat bed ...and to this very day anyone has YET to sleep in it!!!

After that universal rejection, I have sworn never to buy a cat bed again!

Great job Marcia!! That's very similar to what I'd fixed for Mr. Jazz to get him through the winter...before he decided I was Cat Worthy and would indeed adopt me!!

An everyday family name; A particular name;
And the name but the Cat Himself Knows, and will never confess." T.S. Eliot

I'm really hoping he'll like it. He already uses the bed part for hours on end. He, like Zipper LOVE to be outside. They both were indoor/outdoor before I adopted them even though both are declawed (I adopted them that way). Maybe that's why they love it so much on the porch.

Very nice! Looks so cosy!

Mine also ignore the cat bed... however, the dog bed is usually occupied to prevent the dog from thinking they can sleep in their own bed or anything silly.

Naw, not quite, but I wish! - that's a little table lamp shade that is on! We have too many trees to get a nice sunset! It is so dim in the house that I have a dozen of small decorative lamps on all over the house with LED light bulbs that only take a few watts.

So far Jack does not seem interested in his cozy corner. I may need to remove the cover if the still rejects it.

Well, Jack wanted nothing to do with his awesome man cave so I took the covering off and he jumped right up into the bed part. I put my hand under the bed to feel how warm the seed starting mat got and OUCH, it was dag-gone HOT! Too hot! so I unplugged them. Guess I'll have to just get a couple pet warming pads instead. Oh well, trying to save a buck didn't pay off this time.
