Introductions like this are always so awkward but I'm following the rules, lol.
We have 4 cats, one 3 year old grey and white short hair named Lux. Found her outside around 4 months old. She's very sweet and calm.
Recently found 3 feral kittens (all boys!) in our new neighborhood. We were told by a neighbor that the mama cat has litters around here all the time.
I have yet to spot her but I plan to set up a trap for her on our deck soon and see about getting her spayed. Any advice on this would be hugely appreciated.
The kittens are gorgeous. We planned to socialize and fatten them up a bit. They were terrified and rail thin. But after about an hour we realized they was no way we couldn't keep them. One week later and they are perfectly domesticated, affectionate and playful. We've named them Perl, Bash and Scrum and refer to them as the purrgrammers.
I believe they are 7 weeks old, we've had them about a week and a half. Their eyes started changing color a few days after bringing them in. Luckily they figured out the litter box right away and were eating solids with no problem.
We had an FIP scare with Scrum, had him tested and dewormed at the same time. The test was negative and his belly has gone down in size considerably since the dewormer was administered so we are feeling optimistic about it all! He does have a bit of an umbilical hernia but our vet said he can fix it very easily when he's neutered.
