My Lovely Sons
The grey one is Ragar. He's your standard long haired domestic tabby (as titled by his vet). I rescued him from an out-of-towner's car engine on a hot summer day. He was only 6 weeks old, so being around dogs and humans so much has made him a little more like a dog, he likes belly rubs and digging holes. He is the neediest cat ever, but is shy around strangers. He weighs 15 pounds but my vet insisted he is healthy and has no need for a diet. Since he lost his mother early, I actually had to teach him stuff like cleaning his paws after using the litter box.
Black kitty is Calcipher, he's named after a fire demon in Howl's Moving Castle, unknown breed. Calcipher is loud, bossy, and won't let me sleep a full night. He doesn't like pets (except for when he initiates them, usually at 3 a.m.), but he will panic if he can't follow people around from room to room. Closed doors are a no-no. He was rescued from a shelter at 4 months old and I think that's why he's so independent. He doesn't eat much or often and isn't very responsive to treats, and despite being more trim than Ragar he weighs 12 pounds. He's a good boy and is very nice, even if he won't let me sleep properly. If he isn't staring into darkness under my bed (his usual daytime activity), then he is walking around and meowing loudly or playing with toys (his dusk, night, and early morning activities). He's so black that taking a good pic is hard, his features except his eyes don't stand out much.
