My new kitten (nice! & help?) - additional pics

Here is my new kitten. He is a modern siamese. I am very happy I got him as there were a few problems in the process. He is not the one I intended to get, but nevertheless he is THE one.

The couple I got him from have the mother and got a stud from CFA-Korea to do the deed. In any case, because this is their (and her) first litter I don't think they are right in the type of point he is. They think he is seal point but I beg to differ. So, if there are any people out there that can help clear this issue up using these pictures, your help will be appreciated.

BTW: he is 2 months old

here he is ..

Pictures of my other kitten to come soon ..

Your kitten is so cute, and it's possible to be a seal point since I heard that Siamese coats darken as they get older.....hopefully we have some other members clear this up.

How old is he? I think he's blue, not seal. And my friend who is a breeder says that he is a blue point with ghost markings -- and that if he were lynx point he'd have white outlines around the eyes and inside of the ears.

Compare him to early pictures of Sam and Suzy on this board -- they are CyberPet's seal point siamese kitties. And then compare him to pics of Polo, a blue point siamese kitty owned by Harley's Mom.

Thanks everyone .. I am really amazed at how much he resembles a lion. Currently he is nameless. I have to name him for his papers. Not sure what to name him yet.

Speaking of papers, I think I have to be sure of his color before I get the papers. Can anyone help clear that question up to?

ForJazz:;

He is 2 months old. Well, his B-day was 2/22. I didn't think he would be a lynx because both parents are registered seal point. (Actually, one of the head guys at CFA-Korea owns the father.) From all of my reading if a seal and seal breed the possible offspring are seal, chcolate, blue, and lilac. For the life of me I cannot figure out what he is. Also don't the paw pad color and nose color play a role?

What did your friend mean by "ghost markings?" I have misha, who is a traditional siamese (apple head),and she is seal point. I got her at almost three months and i was easy to tell her point color.

Anyway, this is really going to chew away at me like a cancer so more help will be appricated. I will try to get some pictures today in the sunlight.

Once again thanks ...

He looks like a blue point. I think I said that up above? I just brought up lynx because his ghost tabby markings could deceive someone into thinking he were a lynx point, but he's obviously not one or he'd have white outlines around his eyes and the inside of his ears. Ghost tabby markings....well, to make a long story short, all cats have tabby markings underlying -- sometimes it shows through and they look stripey, and sometimes it doesn't and they look solid. On some it only comes through a little and then you see very faint striping -- hence "ghost tabby markings." It's not a pattern, it's just what's there. So he would officially be called a blue point.
