my sphynx kittens

hi all. please see my sphynx kittens - ginger (lavender female) and ace (taby black/blue male). please note the dark spots on ginger's skin. any ideas what these are? ace has similar spots but they are very small. both cats are now on antibiotics for skin infections and are getting better slowly. both cats look and behave healthy. any comments would be much appreciated. thanks.

Hello and Welcome, from another Sphynx Lover!
Did you ask your breeder if he/she knew what they were? Have they been to a vet? I am wondering if it is just the pigment color of the skin. Have the spots always been there?

I've seen Sphynxes with spots before but not sure if it is normal. They are very cute. Also, how many stories up are you

my sphynx kittens

thanks for taking the time to respond. i am 24 stories up. and as for the kittens, i got them from a person who did not care about them at all. the spots supposedly just appeard out of nowhere. i have been to the vet since day one, going on to six weeks now. both kittens had very bad skin infections and have been taking a lot of meds last 5-6 weeks. they are getting better now, infection is gone, the spots are getting lighter and smaller. recently they (cats) even started to grow some hair (down) all over their bodies and their colors are much deeper now.

I am so glad to hear that they are doing better. You are a wonderful person for taking them in and giving them a loving forever home! They are an amazing breed huh? I got Monte in Janurary and we are adopting one (possibly 2) and should have him (or them) in early June. I am truly hook on Sphynx! Keep us posted on how they are doing and keep posting pics, they are so adorable!

How pretty they are! Oh no... liverspots already?! Jk - I'm not sure - but maybe they are scars or something of the like? Maybe they still need to heal... maybe since the lady didn't care for them it caused those spots to become permanent? I hope you find out soon.

Beautiful cats though.

your kitties

Hi

I had a sphynx for a while, then moved and had to find him a home. He did not have spots, but was bald, bald and had to get bathed at least once a day. He was super affectionate and very friendly. Your male looks like the devon rex I had, but he has passed away. (he was a devon with almost no fur). Good luck with your babies. I say it is either, bathing every day or vacuuming everyday
