Sara, you would be called a snow queen! Very nice one, I imagine! Living in Alberta, even with the Chinook, I'd be freezing my *you know what*. I'm just not fit to be in that kind of climate nor can I handle icy cold drinks, even in the tropics! Yes, I know, I'm a wimp! Lol.

Happy New Year! We just past midnight now!

Google lists warm eggnog recipes....just seems wrong though

Ok...neighbours of mine....the clock finished striking so finish your fireworks so Luna can go to sleep. We made it through the flurry of bangs by playing da bird...but, even so, her tail was down and she wasn't coming out from under her chair.

Our place is pretty quiet, too. Only a few going off here, but it's out in the distance. Maya, my scaredy cat, is on the window bed looking outside. I think our 4th of July gets a LOT more action than a typical New Year, though. Wasn't that way in HI...I guess it's a cultural thing there? Not sure.

Hope Luna is ok after all the commotion settles, MM. Peace to you and your household. Nitey nite!

4626 no fireworks here. They're illegal within city limits except by permit and the city doesn't do them on New Years.

She's happier now....ate her freeze dried chicken at least.

Fireworks are illegal here too....doesn't stop anyone from setting them off as they know bylaw enforcement is a joke. At least it isn't as bad for New Years as it is for Diwali and Vishaki.

Oh, I think it's a cultural thing in HI, when I think about it....lots of Asians there, and the New Year is a BIG deal. Fireworks and illegal stuff sell like crazy. Hotels are often booked with locals that have asthma and respiratory issues, mainly because they can't tolerate the smoke and hotels have A/C.

Canadians, however, are known to be much more environmentally conscious! I loved my visit to BC, it was so lovely there! I recall they even aked if I wanted to keep my shoe box after my shoe purchase! Lol. They never do that in the states!

Well I had to Google it to see what the heck it was, lol. Tells you a thing or two about my knowledge in alcoholic drinks!

It looks very yummy, Sharon! I really like cinnamony drinks, especially this time of the year! I often drink Chai teas, but not too much black teas, lol.

Happy New Year! It's officially 2015 and I can't believe it!
Ok it's time to go to bed now! Nitey nite Sharon! Don't get freezer burned on the potty...we know what alcohol does to you when you drink...(it's also a diuretic!!)
