When we were in Italy in 2000, we ate a lot of pizza...it was a lot of restaurants. But, it didn't taste like the pizza we are used to in Canada....didn't stop us from eating it though. Just don't order a pepperoni pizza in Italy.....you get a pepper pizza. Pepperoni pizza is called salami.

I haven't been to Italy, but I imagine the pizza is similar to the kind you find in France - very thin crust and not slathered with cheese. Yum, but in a different way.

I'm a major pizza snob and only like the pizza you get in the NY metro area. Everywhere else I've had pizza (except 1 place I found here, run by a guy from NJ), the crust either tastes like cardboard, contains oil or has a slightly sweet taste, and the sauce is just wrong - usually too sweet. The only oil on my pizza should come from pepperoni.

Love pepperoni and all standard pizza vegetables - onions, green peppers, mushrooms, black olives. Not into pineapple or any other form of meat topping.

If I have to go with a chain restaurant, then Pizza Hut.

I only like thin crust pizza, though weirdly the only frozen pizza I'll eat is Stouffer's French bread. Go figure.

I saw a recipe for a New Orleans seafood pizza! Looks good, lobster, crab...

Something to think about with Mardi Gras coming up...

So...ordered a Pizza Hut thin crust pizza with pepperoni, onions, green peppers, jalapeno peppers, black olives, spinach.

Next time I might put every kind of pepper they have on my pizza.

I love California Pizza Kitchen pizzas, any one of their "hand tossed", but my long favorite has been their Thai Chicken...menus change, including their pizzas from time to time, but that and the BBQ chicken has been the one of their originals. Though they do sell it in the frozen aisle of some supermarkets, I still prefer the restaurant ones.

I go veggie - especially after the horse meat scandal. I know it's still meat but for me that was a big issue.

Anyone ever of Brier Hill Pizza? I think it's a local phenomenon. Lots of peppers and parmesan instead of mozz.

I was reading this thread and thinking the exact same thing. I grew up on NY style pizza and finding decent pizza in New England is like a needle in a haystack.

Pineapple on pizza is just wrong...
