Cat runs for mayor in Russian town

Barsik the cat was put forward as a candidate and actually got a huge percentage of the vote because nobody in town could stand the human candidates.

I understand - many times on election day I've stood in the polling booth staring at the ballot and thinking "Which one of these idiots will do the least damage?" Having a cat to vote for would be a no-brainer for those occasions!
I can't figure out if Barsik is a Scottish Fold or if his ears have succumbed to frostbite.

I would say Scottish Fold, seal point color. Usually frostbitten ears are more misshapen, crinkly even, or with just the tips bent over. Had a Manx one time that dashed out the door when temp was -30+F, a record cold night in southern Ontario....then spotted a mouse in the snow, wouldn't come in and tried to catch it and stayed out maybe 20 mins.....his ears got frostbitten.
