On that note - so they actually chop the things off? I'm begining to think they cut the lines. Cause all the male cats I know/knew have "pom-poms".

(Note: I don't look for them - they're hard to miss on a shorthair)

I don't know exactly what happens Bean, but my vet told me that no stitches would be needed. Not sure how that works.
Has anyone here seen the musical Cats? I know it's finished now but I saw it twice.
