My cat David and my (ex) girlfriend

David. my Siamese mix cat, has always been particular about a person who might enter "our" home. If a "stranger" came into our home he'd check them out after hiding for awhile. If he didn't like the person, he's take off again and that's the last you would see of him. It took awhile but David finalily accepted a girlfrind that I had at the time and insisted on sitting or laying between us if we were sitting on the couch together..

It didn't bother me at all that my girlfriend wanted to make herself comfortable when she came over by taking off her shoes... I also do that myself just as soon as I get into the house. I don't know why but the girlfriend that I had at the time always tied her shoe laces together when she took off her shoes. She and I were sitting on the couch together watching a rented movie that I had obtained. All of a sudden, David came running by, grabbed the shoes by it's laces in his mouth and kept on running. In a blink of an eye he and the shoes were out of sight and I couldn't help but wonder just what in the heck got into this fur ball that he would do this. Later on I had to do some seaching for the shoes and I found them in the back bedroom under the bed right next to the wall. Apprently, he did his best to hide the shoes.

Or maybe David thought that she was pretty particular about her shoes and that if he ran off and hid them, she'd go lookin' and maybe he'd have his couch back!
