Cat shows

Just went to my first cat show in almost 10 years. I had forgotten how enjoyable they were. Many people would probably find them boring but it was interesting to see the many different breeds of cats, and all so adorable. One British short hair sprayed when he was in a cage awaiting the judging table.

I checked the cat fanciers association to see if they are sponsoring any more shows in my area but unfortunately they're not. Does anyone know of anywhere else to look that might have regional schedules of cat shows?

This says there's one in June in Wisconsin.

And here's one in July:

Now you have me checking for San Diego! I've never been to one.

Thanks for the links. The one in June is only about 45 minutes away so I marked it on my calendar.

If you enjoy cats you'll enjoy a cat show. The only thing I don't like is that you don't get to touch the cats and It's hard not to want to. One Maine Coon owner did let us pet their cat and the fur was so soft.

I've only been to one, but had the benefit of being with Holly's breeder. So she was explaining how it all worked to me. And of course I had a kitty to root for...she was showing one of Holly's littermates. It was a lot of fun. That reminds me...I should see if she's showing any of her cats near me anytime soon, I'd like to go again.
