Anyone else feel our little rumbler

It wasn't much more than a steady rumbling here, and I probably would have slept through it; except that the tribe positively panicked! 8 cats were going 11 different directions as once.

Wow Mike, that's one you wouldn't have seen coming! I take it you felt the rumbling but nothing was damaged? Poor kitties probably didn't know what to make of it.

We felt it here. Shook the house a lot. Cats running everywhere, kittens plastering themselves against the wall in a terrified giant ball of kitten-ness.

Then it all happened again to the poor kitties when the 4.6 aftershock hit.

Yup. I felt here. About 5:35 am. I was making coffee and thought how funny it looked to see the water in the sink with rings on the water and I had not stired anything yet! Duchess started looking around the kitchen with a confused look on her face.

The more people I meet the more I love my cat!

I'm sure I'd be huddling near the wall with the kittens! I know there's a fault in that area, but it still comes as a shock when an earthquake occurs.

Felt it here in Kansas City even! I woke up to the handles on my dresser clinking and shaking around, then felt the bed move. I almost woke up my husband to tell him I think we were in an earthquake but my throat hurt too bad to talk...plus I thought maybe I was going crazy.

Then, I get tons of e-mails this morning from my family who all lives back in Illinois telling me they just had an earthquake. They of course felt the aftershocks a few hours later, where as I did not.

The bed shook a little and I thought it was just Arianwen jumping on the bed and grooming herself. I rolled over and went back to sleep.

Then I heard the news later.
Glad everyone's alright. Soothing petting and hugs for those scared kittehs.
