Sunday Morning Colorvision!

I'm so excited!!!!!!!! The orioles and rose-breasted grosbeaks are here!!! The bluebirds have been here a while already. Now all I need is for our hummers to show up!

Mr. Oriole was a little confused.......had he looked right behind him, he'd have seen his grape jelly hanging!

How nice! Love the pics! We used to get rose-breasted grosbeaks once in a great while along with a noisy pileated woodpecker hanging out on the suet bag. Hubby had a great post built that held 3-4 separate birdfeeders, one of which attracted the finches in the area. When we realized we were also attracting the skunks in the neighborhood, we stopped feeding and removed the post. I miss it so much!

Thank you hguH ( ) and Terri!

We need to get up a couple posts for our feeders also. Right now we've got them on the patio, and in the winter that's fine, but I don't want the mess on the patio in the summer time. But as hubby says, that's to far down on the "honey-do" list right now! I'd miss the birds if they were gone too Terri.

You are so fortunate! I had a rose breasted grosbeak only one year. It is so exciting when a migrating bird visits! We had to take down our suet, because the raccons were climbing up to eat it. Now I don't get to see our large redheaded woodpecker. Now the raccoons are eating the seed.

As a fan of the Baltimore Orioles, I love your birdy. They're both beautiful. I remember seeing grosbeaks in my parents' backyard in Virginia, and thinking it was someone's escaped parrot or something!
