Ok I just got a nice lightweight carryon luggage that is the shape of a bowler bag but way bigger. It's flat at the bottom & is a half circle shape if that makes sense. Anyways the outside compartment is velcro & there's no way I'm going to put anything in there in fear of it falling out. Same thing with the 2 front flaps, some cheapy velcro to close it.
Who could I take this luggage piece to for a zipper installation? LOL this might seem really crazy but I really want a zipper in the back, otherwise that pocket is just being wasted.
And nope, I don't want to do it myself because 1) I don't know how and 2) I'd probably mess it up and 3) I want it done professionally.
You could also go specifically looking for luggage repair places. I think zipper installation is a very common procedure (although more often involving replacing broken zippers than installing ones in places there were never zippers before.)
