Zipper Installment

Ok I just got a nice lightweight carryon luggage that is the shape of a bowler bag but way bigger. It's flat at the bottom & is a half circle shape if that makes sense. Anyways the outside compartment is velcro & there's no way I'm going to put anything in there in fear of it falling out. Same thing with the 2 front flaps, some cheapy velcro to close it.

Who could I take this luggage piece to for a zipper installation? LOL this might seem really crazy but I really want a zipper in the back, otherwise that pocket is just being wasted.

And nope, I don't want to do it myself because 1) I don't know how and 2) I'd probably mess it up and 3) I want it done professionally.

There are still plenty of places out there that do alterations and mending. You can probably find them in the yellow pages.

Is it leather? I've always taken bags that needed fixing to the shoe repair shop.

The bag is a canvas type of fabric. I will try calling the shop repair shops, good idea. I just didn't know what type of places to even look under, thanks

You could also go specifically looking for luggage repair places. I think zipper installation is a very common procedure (although more often involving replacing broken zippers than installing ones in places there were never zippers before.)
