Memorial Day Plans Anyone?

We were planning on camping, but we sold our Travel Trailer in hopes of getting a bigger one in time for Memorial Day, but we didn't. So, we're just kicking back here, relaxing, having a nice dinner, and then watching the baseball game.

Anyone else have plans?

We'll be having a family cookout, and we usually have a family ball game. We have a big area to play in.

We will go down to the local park and pay honor to the Veteran's Memorial.

We've finally got some sunny weather again - although chilly for the season for us at 60 degrees... Gasoline prices spiked here for the holiday weekend at $4.13 for regular so I have lost the temptation to go out much . It is so manipulative, but totally predictable since traditionally this weekend all of the greater Los Angeles comes up here to $pend three day$ being touri$ts...I think Gary and Jamie are going to go to my parents' later (five minutes away) to help build a shelf for my dad...

Me, I am playing on the computer since I have photos from Gracie's b-day yesterday , and I have cat tree fever... I am also prodding Jamie through studying for finals next week...

I hope the potato salad turns out good, we are making it from scratch, thank goodness Mark is in the kitchen, I know I'd ruin it, can't even boil water, Megan can you cook? Lexi is 13 (14 in July) and she manages herself in the kitchen very well!! It is so embarrassing!

It is a day to commemorate U.S. men and women who died while in military service to their country.

We have Rememberance day (11/11) and Rememberance Sunday (sunday nearest 11/11).

It was the day the WW1 armistice was signed.

We don't have the day off though, just a minute's silence at 11 o'clock.
