Big, bad roller coasters...

I was reading through news video titles on Yahoo and came across this one which made me think of Willow's current thread about wanting to conquer her fear of heights.

Yikes! I don't know about the rest of you but I'm definitely not a thrill-seeker, at least not to these proportions. Even if this were the last and only adventure left on the planet I'd have to pass.

I love rollercoasters, but those looked INTENSE.

This is a vid of the Kingda Ka coaster mentioned in the above vid.
WARNING: probably just watching these will give some people vertigo.

Sign me up! I love rollercoasters. And I don't even mind the wait in line because the geek in me loves to marvel at the design and construction. The funny part is that I can go on coaster after coaster and not have any issues, but the Teacups make me sick.

I'm with you on that one Doodle. I have nicknamed the tea cups as the "Puke Jerkers".

It's kind of funny that the teacups got mentioned in this thread. If you're talking about the ones at Disneyland I don't consider those a roller coaster, I guess. They're pretty mild. My fav ride at Disneyland is still It' A Small World. I'm a bit of a sap and I love the attention to detail with all the dolls from all the countries around the world. To my understanding, it's currently under reconstruction/refurbishment right now and scheduled to reopen sometime in November.

I LOVE roller coasters, but I'm a bit of a purist. I really prefer the old-fashioned versions made out of wood. They don't have loops or twists; all of the fun comes from lots of climbs and drops. Plus, they make wonderfully creaky noises!

No, I wasn't considering the Teacups a roller coaster, Jo. Just mentioning the irony that I can ride insane coasters with no issue, but the Teacups, a ride considered to be mild, makes me sick. It's all that going in multiple circles that does it.

My SIL was the same. She would ride every roller coaster in the park, but her stomach could not tolerate going around and around. She was sick as a dog when she got off the "baby" rides.
