My daughter won a bike tonight!

After supper we took the kids to the bicycle/helmet safety check sponsored by the police department. After they went through all the checkpoints their name was put in a drawing for a 10-speed from the local Schwinn cycles dealer. Emma won!

However, since she's only 3 and won't fit a 10-speed for quite a few years someone is going to talk with the owner of the bicycle shop to see if they'll let us pick out a smaller bike for her. If I were a betting person, I'd say they'll let us pick a smaller bike without even thinking about it, since it would be less of a cost to them to give us a smaller bike.

Anyway, just wanted to mention that. I've had my name in drawings for lots of things over the years and it never comes up. This is the first time Emma has had her name in the hat for something and BINGO!

COOL BEANS!!!!! You'll have to show us some pictures!

Our PD did a huge family safety kinda day a couple of weekends ago and it was neat to see one of the kids win things like that.

Most I ever won in anything was a pen that didn't work in a school lucky dip...
