ghhh...I am so itchy!

This past weekend was beautiful. We spent all day Sunday cleaning up the yard and getting the patio furniture cleaned off. Well silly me stayed out in the sun too long....I wasn't paying attention till I started to feel hot. I got sun burned on my back and shoulders and the tops of my knees. My left arm is the worst. So today the pain has gone away but I am starting to itch! On top of that I gained a few mosquito bites today. They definately aren't helping. Oh could be worse. It could be snowing or -30 outside.

Sorry you were attacked by the environment.
But for future reference, if you take an antihistamine immediately when you come in from getting too much sun it'll lessen the sunburn a lot.

hmm...I have never heard of taking an antihistamine for sunburn. I will have to try that next time. I knew I had gotten too much sun so I took some ibuprofin and lathered in aloe right away.

I will have to get some epsom salt. I used to have it on hand all the time when I had my horse but not anymore. Its still early in the season too so I haven't stocked up on the summer essentials like sunscreen, bug repellant and anti-itch stuff.
