Cats mentioned at funeral

My dear cousin was laid to rest Mon 9 June.
It was a beautiful service, and I was touched when the vicar mentioned her cats.
We had just sung the hymn 'All things birght and beautiful' and the vicar said 'I haven't mentioned Linda's cats yet, have I?' and he went on to say how she was a lover of animals and how she had cared for her cats.
I thought it was lovely of him to speak about the cats. Sometimes people don't realise how important a part of our lives these little creatures are. I thought it was very fitting that he included them in his kind words.

How precious of him to do this. That says a lot about what a loving person she really was.

A big pat on the back to the Vicar for being that thoughtful.

I am sorry that you lost your dear cousin.

That was a thoughtful thing for him to say. Our pets help to fulfill our need to love.

Yes, the vicar was a lovely man and conducted a very uplifting service.
At Linda's request everyone was wearing an item of pink clothing (for breast cancer awareness and because she liked pink It looked really lovely to see everyone looking so colourful. And the weather was gorgeous, so the chapel looked really pretty in the sunshine.

The sad part comes now really, as friends and family (and cats!) adjust to life without her.
