This coming Friday is Independence Day in the United States. I will be having a family picnic at my house and prepareing a lot of food. My problem is that I am SO BORED with all of the usual recipes that we alway have EVERY SINGLE TIME! Does anyone have any great picnic recipes? I will start off by sharing a family favorite from when I was a kid (a LONG time ago). This recipe also won first prize for desserts at a company picnic.

2 Cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
1 stick of margerine
Mix ingredients, press into pie pan and chill.

Cream Cheese Layer
3 8 oz. packages of cream cheese
1 1/2 Cup of powdered sugar
Whip together , spread over crust & chill

Whipped Cream Layer
1/2 pint of whipping cream
2 Tablespoons of sugar
Whip stiff, spread over cream cheese layer and chill

1 Can cherry pie filling
Spread filling over pie, leaving about 1 inch of the whipped cream showing all the way around the edge.

Sometimes I use strawberry filling or blueberry filling instead of the cherries.
