Thanks again, Jeanie, for pointing out the knitting demonstration video. I've been working on scarves for the kids ever since. I'm just about done with the first one for Emma.
However, I needed a refresher course on how to bind off the last row to finish a project and in the process I realized I was doing the entire scarf in purl stitching, NOT knit!
For some reason, my hand wants to keep turning the stitches in purl and really when the whole piece is done that way it looks fine. Now that I realize I did the whole thing backwards, though, I'm going to sit here in front of the computer as I start the next scarf to make sure I work it in knit this time.
Geez, just one of my DUH! moments. When I'm completely done with the first scarf and have washed it to see how all the stitches lay down after that then I post a pic. This has been a fun way to pass the time instead of just staring at the TV, especially since knitting (or purling in my case
) can actually be done without really looking at the piece once you get the hang of it.
