Got The Results Of My MRI Back...

They found nothing. Okay, I DO have a brain (I know what you're thinking, Hugh. ). No masses or tumors, nothing serious like that...

But, they did find I have a very mild case of Chiaria Malformation. It's where the skull and cerebellum (sp?) are, but there isn't a big enough space like their should be. He said until I see a neuro-surgeon, to restrict my activites...No sports, nothing that causes bouncing, and worst of all, no horseback riding. Once I see the neuro-surgeon, he'll give his opinion on whether I am fine, and don't need surgery and I can resume my normal activities, or I need the surgery to correct it, and will be fine. The doctor said, I'll be fine, it won't get worse, my case is mild. We'll get it all straightened out. Take a look at what Geri made for me...Really brightened my mood:

Well, at least you know the doctor said you will be fine, and that it's not serious. So glad for that!

Here's a better image, it must have gotten fuzzy in the transfer to you. Glad it brightened your mood!

Kinda good news, though it always seems better when we KNOW what we're up against.
Great pic of Cash!

I'm sorry you can't ride your horse temporarily, but your health is very important.

Geri's portrait of Cash is lovely!

Glad you're going to be alright, Megan, but sorry you won't get to ride Cash for awhile. Take care! (((HUGS)))

That's a beautiful picture of Cash, Geri.

Re: Got The Results Of My MRI Back...

Thanks. My mom called and asked the doctor if I would be okay to ride him as long as I don't bounce, and he said it's fine as long as I don't bounce. So, I can only walk. But I'll get to the surgeon very soon and get his opinion.

Geri, thanks! I saved it.

You know, this means there really is such a thing as being too brainy for your own good!

Just be careful. EVERY horse can spook. EVERY horse can act unpredictable in the right set of circumstances. If jostling your brain would be dangerous right now, I wouldn't risk it. It's not worth it.

Hope everything turns out okay!

Megan, I'm sorry to hear your not well; it's good that they know what's going on now. Best of luck with the neurosurgeon. Great pic of Cash, hope you get to ride him again soon!

Please forgive my propensity for tasteless humor, Megan, and get well soon!
