Whoa, he's huge (and beautiful)! I'm not a horse person by any means but I think Clydes are so majestic looking.

I love Clydesdale horses! There used to be at team not far from here, and they were always in that town's parades. I miss seeing them.

Clydesdales are so majestic. I'm not a 'horse person', but I know a beautiful animal when I see one.
There was a Budwieser plant/distribution center on Airline Drive in Metairie. They sometimes had Clydesdales there for exhibitions, and often had them in local parades. They're so magnificent!
I hope Poe does get into the Guinness Book of World Records. Fingers crossed!

Pretty boy!

Not as tall as the tallest on record, though. That was Samson, who stood 21.2 hands (over 7ft tall). Still, big guy!

I'm glad somebody else mentioned the Budweiser Clydesdales. Every time I see a Clydesdale I think of the beautiful horses featured in some of their best commercials.

My all-time favorite Bud commercial is from the SuperBowl right after 9/11. A team of Clydes rode down a street, crossed a bridge, came to a stop and they all bowed. It was the site of the WTC attacks.

My second favorite commercial is the one with the little donkey who aspires to be a Bud Clydesdale and he goes through rigorous training and gets to head up the team. Absolutely adorable!

I love Clydies, there's a place a few hours from here where my friends and I ride occassionally, and the horses are mostly Clydie-crosses. I'm quite a small person, but I look like a toddler on some of their larger horses! It's so cool cantering on a Clydie!

Re: Possible new "worlds tallest horse"!

Clydesdales are impressive, but the tallest horse breed is the Shire, though I'm sure through some genetic anomalies other breeds could produce the occasional/rare horse who is taller than the usual breed standard.

Two of the Bud commercials I liked were the younger Clydes heckling the older Clydes and the older ones bumping(?) a snow laden tree, covering the younger Clydes with snow. The other commercial is the young Clyde who dreams of being able to pull the wagon and tries so hard, but cannot budge it. Several older horses see him and quietly walk up behind the wagon and push it as the young Clyde 'pulls' it out the barn door and he is so proud of himself when he thinks he did it on his own.

The WTC Clyde commercial is a very powerful one.

I was thinking that as well but I wasn't sure!
