Just a little rant.

Last year in September I found out I had a small 3 cm benign tumor in my back near my spine. I've had it for 3 years and every doctor I went to told me it would go away, until I bugged one so much she sent me to do an MRI where I found out that it was tumor and not only that I had a herniated disk. More than likely that tumor caused it. It was so bad I had horrible pains in my legs and I could barely walk. I got the tumor removed a week after I found out and felt really great afterwards.

Friday night I had some friends over to celebrate my belated birthday which was on Wednesday we are all hanging out in my music room and I was on the floor sitting. When I tried to get up I felt the most horrible pain ever and could not get up. SO I had someone roll up a blanket and put it under my back and I layed that way for an hour. Well technically ever since Friday I've been stuck in bed. Hardly being able to move. I had to miss work on Saturday. I dont know how I'm going to work on Monday. I just feel really depressed. More so not being able to enjoy going out kayaking or bowling with friends.

That pretty much ends my rant. >.<

How awful! I hope your back feels better soon and you an get back to work. It must be very frustrating as well as painful!

Very much so. It's such a nice day. Then I have to somehow man up and slave myself to work until friday.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. You know, pain is a symptom that something's wrong. Instead of going to work, please see a doctor. Don't take any chances; you've had enough trouble.

Re: Just a little rant.

I would see a doctor - if he/she says it's nothing then insist that you want to get it fixed.

Being stuck in bed is no fun at all; even for a few days it's enough to drive you mad. Have you got someone there looking after you?

Re: Just a little rant.

That kind of pain is awful, Ande! I know from experience.
You need to find a doctor that at least makes relieving your debilitating pain a priority.
It may take some time; just keep searching till you find a doc that can help you. Don't give up!! (((HUGS)))

Re: Just a little rant.

Hi Ande,
I am so very sorry and I understand what you are going through.
I had back surgery about 3 years ago already. Wow, Time flies!

Do you have any pain and tingling down into your legs and feet?
Normally this would be on one side or the other.
For me it was down my right leg all the way to my toes.
Depending on where the bulge is....would depend if you had
leg or arm weakness.
Do you find yourself tripping or feel like you stepped in a
puddle, only to find your foot is completely dry?

Forget the family doctor....you call a pain management doctor.
First you start off by getting a spinal injection.
You can do it! It feels like when you get your ears pierced.
After you check in you use a marker to highlight where your
pain is and which direction it radiates towards.

When you have nerve pain, if you have nerve pain....
this is caused by the bulging disc squeezing the nerves.
Then they will take you much more seriously.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
I will pray that you do not need any more back surgery.

excuse the underwear but heres where they cut me open

I actually feel a lot of pain in that area and it hurts my left let leg the most than my right. It's a throbbing pain and once I've experienced the tingling. I actually tonight have experienced quick phases of dizziness. Which I do think I should see someone immediately. I'm going to see if Dr. Cohen (spine specialist) will some how fit me in tomorrow. I thought I was going to be able to man up and go to work but I really can't. I do have someone watching over me so it's not very difficult. I just think all of this could have been prevented but now I have to suffer until things get right. Which could take months.
