Excited!!! (gecko eggs)

Most of you probably don't know that I am starting to breed gargoyle geckos.
Well on the 26th my female gargoyle, Raine, laid her first egg with me! I hope this will be a good first season for me, and I am so excited to see what my Rex and Raine will create! Only 3 months or so til it hatches!!! (and i hope she lays more!!!)

Here is a picture of the egg:

Rex (the father):

Raine (the mother):

(unfired)

(fired up)

(Laying the egg)

Info on fired and unfired: During the day they are normally a lighter color (unfired), and at night a darker color (fired up).

edit: changed subject

Best of luck for little Egghead!
I wanted to comment on Rex's photo. I am enthralled with the colors and textures of his skin and eyes. What a beautiful photo!

Re: Excited!!! (gecko eggs)

They're cute lil' critters.

The skin looks a lot different than the mosquito eating geckos that were everywhere in New Orleans..

Re: Excited!!! (gecko eggs)

Thank you for the comments.
Rex was my first ever gecko, and he has been with me for about 7 years now. I love him very much! lol
He will give you kisses and stuff as well.
They are related to the Crested Gecko, if anyone has heard of them.

The egg is still doing fine! YIPPY!

Oh cool! And your little guy is adorable! I've never seen that sandstone color, different from your standard green. Very nice. Congrats to you and to the parents-to-be.

Re: Excited!!! (gecko eggs)

I caught a rather large lizard in my sisters house the other day. Otis her cat was trying to kill it and eat it. I released it into an oleander bush. Do you think this was the same kind of gecko? It look simular to yours but in gray tones

Ive only seen the beautiful but dangerous gila monster. They are quiet a sight!
