Re: Best electric razor?

My dad likes the top-of-the-line Norelco, and Hubby has owned a Panasonic and a Norelco and has liked both, very similar... I guess you could browse customer reviews at a place like Amazon, too...

Re: Best electric razor?

I have always thought Norelco triple head was the best also.

Re: Best electric razor?

Do you get a nice smooth chin with that then? :p

I use a Philishave 8830 It seems to have good battery life, and it's pretty close. The beard trimmer is good as well. The other major plus point is that I can wash it in running water after use.

It all depends on what you're shaving though.....

Re: Best electric razor?

over the years I've tried them all,
and concluded that Braun is best.
http://www.braun.com/us/series-shavers.html
However, ultimately, I went back
to using a disposable blade once
I discovered http://www.totalshavingsolution.com/
together with this http://www.saveonrazors.com/
electric shavers are over rated,
my methods are a lot "greener".
it also helps clean and exfoliate
your skin.

No buddy, not shaving is a lot greener. You're still using shaving foam, and you still have to replace parts every now and again.

Re: Best electric razor?

I've always used Norelco rotaries. One comment: if you're getting this as a gift for a man, I'd suggest getting the same type of blade action that the person already uses. A man's face gets used to a certain kind of shaver blade and if he suddenly switches to another, it can take some time for his face to get used to it. With a certain amount of shaver "burn" during the process.

Of course, if it's a lady's shaver, I can't offer any comments.

Re: Best electric razor?

My father (and now my son "!") liked a mug and a brush. One of those cakes of shaving soaps lasts forever. Strangely, my son was not born until years after my father died. He says his beard is too rough for an electric shaver. Mommy didn't listen though, and bought him the best Norelco she could find. Oh well! It's the thought that counts. I repented and bought him a brush, a Gillette safety razor, and mug!

Re: Best electric razor?

My uncle always used Norelco, but he used to say it was the beard pre-treatment that made all the difference in getting a close shave. I think he used Lectric Shave.
