Spring comes to northeast Ohio

The first sign of spring around here is the blooming of the snowdrops. We have had a wonderful melt for the last several days and here is what has been hiding under the snow.

ONe of the first wildflowers to bloom around here is the trout lily, but it is still too early for them.
What are the first flowers to bloom in your area?

Sue

Re: Spring comes to northeast Ohio

I think its Crocus for us, but I didn't see mine come up this year. The squirrels or the outside cats must have killed the one little Crocus I had. My Daffodils and Narcissus came up and bloomed last week...

My mother always considered that snowdrops the first sign of Spring.
