Root Canal

Just got home from a root canal. Had my first one over Thanksgiving and got this one today. Not out of the woods yet but once the numbness wears off, I hope to be pain free!

I also have every other Friday off of work and this is my day off. Any suggests on how I can make the most of my day with a root canal and numb face?? Maybe I should go to the grocery store and by myself a bag of jelly beans??

Re: Root Canal

OH YUCK!!! I hate that numb face feeling. I had a crown done a couple of weeks ago and after I was home tried to drink some tomato soup. Kept the paper towel ready. Jelly beans would be just impossible!
Enjoy your day off, whatever you do. The sun is shining in Ohio and I hope you have the same.

Re: Root Canal

Man! Don't get jellybeans! Ugh. You really don't want to eat anything that requires chewing and your tongue to be moving food around in your mouth, because sure as the sun came up, you will get your numb tongue in between your choppers and give it a healthy bite before you know what you were doing. Soup, girl. Stick with soup. ...and I love the idea of a paper towel.

I had lower jaw surgery when I was a Sr in HS. It left most of the skin of my chin and lower lip numb and even today, just over 20yrs later, I still cannot feel my lip/chin and will dab with a napkin regularly to make sure I have no food on my face.

Re: Root Canal

Ix-nay on the jelly beans. You don't want to eat anything that would stick to your dental work.

In times like this, the answer always seems to be: scrambled eggs.
