If you've seen the movie Bolt.*spoilers*

Remember when Mittens reveals that she is declawed and her previous owners abandoned her? I bawled my eyes out and felt like a sap! I normally don't cry for movies but just the sheer fact that I know that really happens deeply bothered me. I just wanted to say that and see if it affected anyone else that way.

I suspected she was declawed earlier in the movie when the pigeons were bringing her their "food finds" and she threatened her claws but didn't actually show them. Don't feel stupid, I cried too. It was a very good movie - we enjoyed it!

I enjoyed the movie, and while I didn't cry...it did put a heavy weight in my heart. I also had the evil thought: I hope anyone who *has* done this, sees this movie and feels guilty. Really guilty! ...and their children want to watch it over and over so they keep feeling the guilt.

I actually thought this too, although my first question was "What are those types of parents going to tell their kids?" Followed swiftly by "Man, are they going to regret it when their kitten-loving kids find out what it really means!" And THAT was followed by "And do they ever deserve it!"

It was a great movie...but that part definitely did make me sad. I had wondered about it...largely because I was surprised she hadn't scratched Bolt yet...lol
