Meet Moxie, the dog in the background

Several of you have commented on my dog so I thought I would post some pics of Moxie.

Moxie is a Border collie X Australian Cattle dog X Sheltie Maybe? Best guess. I adopted her from an animal shelter ten years ago on the 26th of this month. She was about 1 year old at the time. She is, categorically, the best dog ever. She doesn't really "mix" with the cats, but she tolerates them well, and she will defend them to the end.

She's a certified therapy dog, we've been working together as a therapy team since March 2001.

AND, she beautiful!

She's beautiful! She looks like an australian cattle dog with a border collie coat! So cool! I LOVE herding breeds! I have a border collie, a sheltie, and a border collie x australian shepard.

Wow, what a beauty! Look at those striped and dotted paws ... just gorgeous. It sounds like she's an awesome dog.

And the fact that you adopted her at the shelter ... priceless.

She's so lovely! I have a rough collie, rescued from a puppy mill. I also love the herding group. Kelsey spent 6 years in a cage, having puppies, poor baby. She's shy, but I love her, and I'm so happy she's here. I'm sure those years traumatized her.

She is gorgeous! Love her name -- I had a golden retriever named Moxie. She really didn't have "moxie" but she was certainly an angel on this earth. I love all the herding breeds too. When I was growing up in the country we rescued border collies and usually had about a dozen of them (or mixes) along with over 30 cats. The dogs absolutely lived for feeding time... lol They'd all work herding the cats and then they'd have their own dinner. The cats were apparently used to it since they never seemed to mind.
