The Emmies...Who Are Those People?

I'm embarrassed to say that I have never seen many of the people who won Emmies...and I have never seen many of the programs! Since I watch a fair amount of TV, I'm assuming these shows are on HBO, which I don't have. I have no idea who many of the winners and presenters are!

Anyone else, or am I alone in this? I was bored stiff.

I hadn't heard of many of the tv shows. I think with so many choices between regular, cable and pay cable it's hard to keep up.

Hubby and I checked out that movie called Temple Grandin about the autistic woman. It looks really good (Temple Grandin (2010) (TV)). We put it on our wish list for Netflix.

That's why I DVR'd the show and watched after it started. Easier to FF during the dull parts.

Glee and Modern Family are "big hits" but I've tried watching both and wasn't the least bit entertained, although the only times I laughed during the Emmys was during the Modern Family bits with George Clooney.

That was the best part of the show! George is funny, as well as good looking!

I laughed at myself over the not knowing most of the women picked for worst dressers. I recognized Tom Hank's wife (what was she thinking?), but that was about it.
And I don't really even care.

Temple Grandin is AWESOME! She revolutionized creating an attainable humane standard with ethics in the meat processing industry. I think she is amazing and I have enjoyed reading her books because I find them so insightful and inspiring.

I saw the movie on HBO and it was great. That reminds me. I need to put more corners in my house so the kitties keep moving forward. Kitties are as much prey as predator.

I lost touch with popular culture somewhere around the Briney Spears era.
