Got 1 foot up on a chair

Tuesday night I was peeling off a cat food can lid, when the phone rang. I put it down, and when I got off the phone,I ran pell-mell to get something out of the microwave.
I stepped on the sharp edge of the cat food can lid! Needless to say when I got home from the E.R. my frozen lasgna needed re-heated. The E.R. doc was quite a comedian. "O.K.,all clean, just had to get the cat food outta the wound, now I'm just gonna STICK ya." I'm O.K.Just got 2 stitches in my right pinkie-toe. I'm good with my tetanus shot for another 7 years. Off work til monday. And I've explained to Percy that none of this was his fault.

These are the dangers of multi-tasking. But ouch, that sounds like it hurt! Glad to hear you're fixed up and ready to tackle the cat food can again.

I'm so sorry this happened to you! It sounds like something that would happen to me!

It was more embarrassing than funny. I was at the college cafeteria and bought soup and a salad. Someone had dropped an open ketchup packet and I slipped and fell. The soup and salad were all over me. I hoped no one had seen me fall, but of course, people came running, asking if I was all right. I don't remember whether I ordered another lunch, but I do know I was exceptionally careful to watch where I was walking.
